A pair of Chinese hongmu barrel shaped stools, late 19th / early 20th century, the friezes with stud decoration and the rails and uprights with archaistic chilong motifs, on five shaped feet, H.46cm Diameter 43cm

There is sun-bleaching and slight shrinkage to both tops. Both stools have occasional minor knocks and dents to the edges. One stretcher has a loss to the egde where the sap wood was softer and the other stool has a loose section to the frieze otherwis ein good condition.
