A Chinese yellow ground underglaze blue and copper red opium dish, Kangxi period, painted with two officials in Winter Court hats, one with an opium pipe, beside a tree with drying opium, metal bound rim, 17cm

The rim of the dish has been ground off and in some areas cuts into the double blue circle and has a later metal mounted rim, there is wear to the gilding, it is possible that the yellow ground is later, there is mixed opinion on the piece as to whether it has been reduced from a larger item or is correct.
