Lot 847 , A Chinese Hundred Boys baluster vase, 18th century, 23.5cm

A Chinese Hundred Boys baluster vase, 18th century, 23.5cm

A Chinese 'Hundred Boys' baluster vase, 18th century, painted in underglaze blue with boys in a garden picked out in coral red, green, yellow, white and rose enamels, 23.5cm
Estimate £2,000-3,000

There is some slight scratching to the enamel colours particularly around the shoulder, the odd minor firing imperfection to the glaze and the walls of the garden have matt areas of white enamel on them which initially might look like restoration but is definitely hard enamel, no evidence of restoration on the inside of the vase either, essentially in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks.
