A George III mahogany salon chair, with original 18th century floral needlework upholstery and pierced stretchers, W.2ft 1in. H.3ft 4in.

An honest original chair untouched for many years, a dark brown mahogany tone, legs are chamfered, back is slightly wobbly where it joins the seat rail, upholstery is old and worn across the front of the seat, back of the chair upholstered in plain fabric.
No sign of any worm damage to the mahogany, the inspection of the underside of the seat rails reveals old worming along with later reinforcement wooden brackets to each of the corners, no sign of any active worming, seat rails remain strong.
