Oil on canvas cleaned and relined approx. 10 years ago or so, canvas remains tight with a shiny varnish, possibly a little dirty as the image is fairly dark, a very fine stable craquelure showing through the paint, looks to have seen some light retouching around the margins, possibly just starting to the lift a little near the lower right corner, no sign of any signature, housed in an old but not original gilt gesso scroll frame with attribution plaque to artist.

Looks to be fully by the artist's hand but as it is unsigned we will be selling it as 'Attributed to William Anderson'.
