A collection of Chinese archaistic pale celadon jade belt fittings and a white jade archer's ring, 17th-19th century, comprising two 'dragon-head' belt hooks, 18th/19th century, 13.9 and 13.5cm and a sword slide, 17th/18th century, 11.3cm, all three carved in high relief with a chilong, an oval belt buckle carved in relief with two lion-dogs around a brocaded ball amid tendrils, 18th/19th century, 7.6cm, all of well-matched pale celadon jade of good even tone and a white jade archer's ring, late 19th century, of excellent even tone, 2.6 x 3.2cm, all mounted on a sectional rosewood stand c. 1920-40.

Provenance: Purchased from a department store in Hong Kong c.1920-1940, by Biddy Harwood and her husband, a wealthy businessman, who lived in Hong Kong at this time; thence by family descent.

One of the dragon belt hooks has a minute nick to one of the leading edges on the curve, otherwise they are both in good condition with natural veining to the stone
The sword slide has a few minute nicks around the edges and tiny unpolished areas of the stone typical of earlier jades, there are a few white speckled inclusions to the stone
The oval belt buckle has some natural veining and white inclusions to the stone and a minute nick on the edge of one of the button fastening on the back
The jade archers ring is in good condition with no chips or cracks and only a slight lighter inclusion to the stone,
The wood stand is in reasonable condition with some old varnish in places.
