A Chinese bronze and silver inlaid tripod censer, 18th/19th century, with a band of repeating silver inlaid versions of the character Shou, on three gilt scrolled legs, height 7.5cm, split to rim

Provenance: William Moule and his family, who were Christian missionaries in Ningpo (Ningbo) and Shanghai in the late 19th and early 20th century; thence by descent.

A section of the rim below one of the handles has split away from the body, measuring approx. 2cm long, there is evidence of gilding to the legs and the base which has largely worn away and there is a tiny split to the rim half way between two of the handles, the censer weights 124 grams.
Diameter of the bowl is 6.5cm
