A pair of late George III silver coasters, approx. 6in.

A pair of late George III silver coasters, with gadrooned decoration and turned wooden bases, makers probably Smith, Tate & Co, Sheffield, 1819, approx. 6in.
Estimate £250-300

Both bases are slightly loose in situ. Both coasters have several bumps/dents and dings to the interior rim. One coaster has taken two knocks to the rim as it is slightly out of shape in two places. This coaster also has a few dings and nicks around the base rim. There is also a chip (sliver) of wood to the centre of the wooden base by the metal pin. Makers mark quite rubbed on both.
