Ground paper with some uneven patchy discolouration, typical brownish tones showing more towards the upper section, also fairly pronounced scattered fox marks and dirt specks, does not appear to be laid down, undulation clearly visible, a few small white retouches in the top margin to the left at 12 o'clock, otherwise under an old plain paper mount which runs approx 0.5 inch beyond the image and 1.5 inches at the bottom, in a glazed Hogarth style frame, old owners inscription verso.
