Watercolour on paper which shows some undulation so thought not to be laid down, ground paper has a slight even discolouration taking a very pale beige tone, watercolours have no doubt faded to some degree but still retain good differential of colour with strong reds in the sails etc., a number of tiny scattered dirt specks thoughout the work, little sign of any foxing, titled signed and dated lower right, housed under glass in probably the original gilt gesso frame which is now looking rather tatty.
