Pastel on paper showing some unudlation partuicularly towards the top, one short 1 inch tear near the lower left corner, otherwise looks a) unfinished and b) a little rubbed, with some fine scattered dirt specks and fox marks throughout the work. Under glass in a late 18th century giltwood frame which is now looking a little tatty. Backing paper has been removed in the past revealing a fine canvas like layer backing the work but not stuck down to it.
