A 17th century oval horn, fruitwood and bone inlaid snuff box, with pique work borders, the lid inscribed 'The best is not too good for you' and dated 1683, 3.5 x 3in.

The kidney shaped inscribed bone panels on the lid are lifting slightly in places as you would expect, other general scratches, fading and marks in places, a couple of very tiny minor nibbles around the edge of the horn lid but hardly noticeable, minor discolouration in places as you would expect, overall quite good condition.
