Oil on original canvas which remains tight, stretchers marks showing principally across the top but also slightly to the left, further undulation running in the canvas and one small flaked spot of paint in the sky just to the right of the central trees, otherwise a hint of fine but stable craquelure in the sky but little elsewhere, initialled or monogrammed B.W.L in the lower left corner, housed in a later gilt frame which has a few minor nicks, title inscribed in pencil verso, which should be Siabod.
