Overall an original oak case that is rather dark with a slightly treacle colour, not touched for many years and in need of various minor cosmetic restoration, notably a strip of veneer missing to the top right of the hood, various small and minor dents, knocks and splits scattered throughout the case with more notable vertical splits running through the box base, a strip of crossbanding missing from the bottom of the trunk door and left hand column looks to be a later replacement with a replacement brass base, dial in untouched condition, extensive scratches and oxidisation to the silvering as well the brass work, painting to the moonphase looks original and honest, hands look original, movement very dark and dirty and looks in need of an overhaul. Comes with brass pendulum, two later winding keys and two iron weights.
