John Agar & Son, York. An early 19th century mahogany eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch arched brass dial with silvered strike / silent, subsidiary seconds and date dials, 7ft 7in.

Restrained mahogany case in a reddish to ginger tone with a fair state of polish, eagle finial a replacement, dial appears to have been washed with some sort of varnish which has now discoloured giving yellow and black tones, it looks like this will all clean off to reveal a re-silvered dial, some light wear to the naming at the bottom, strike silent hand looks like a replacement others fair but have lost some paint, movement looks original and complete with no faults noted, may just require a light clean, comes with pendulum, two iron weights, trunk key and associated winding key, overall a fair clock in good condition.
