A Chinese celadon jade archaistic flattened pear shape vase, Qianlong / Jiaqing period, with a central band of taotie masks, the neck with a pair of stylised phoenix handles, the stone of good even tone with some black inclusions to the neck, 10.9cm

One third of neck has large natural vein/fault in stone and carver has polished indentation to neck and incised this to disguise it with black speckling and lighter areas to stone around it. Natural fault extends round to other side showing a hint of brown in places, otherwsie good condition.
