A Japanese silver wire cloisonne enamel 'dragon' jar and cover, Nagoya school, Meiji period, boldly decorated with a scrolling flaming dragon on a black ground above waves, the domed cover with flaming pearl and gold flecked scrollwork borders, silver-gilt liner, unsigned, 12.5cm diam., wood stand

There is no damage to the enamel, there are a few tiny dents to the edge of the silver rim of the cover, the cover itself has a silver gilt interior lining so that the nut and bolt of the finial is not visible from the interior and the vase itself has a silver gilt cylindrical lining, generally a bit grubby, wear to the foot consistent with age otherwise good condition.
