A substantial painting in good honest original condition, original canvas not relined and remains tight, probably cleaned and re-varnished 10 - 20 years ago, varnish has a bit of shine to it, but no faults noted and no sign of any retouching, not signed, in its original gilt gesso scroll frame which is a little matted in colour with some slight cracking at the corners but overall in good order.
