A Chinese famille rose bottle vase, late 19th century, painted in vivid enamel colours with reserves of figures in river landscape scenes, on a cobalt blue ground decorated with flowers and scrolling leaves, the neck with lion-dog handle and chi-dragon sprigs to the shoulder, 44cm., one handle lacking

One of the lion dog handles is completely lacking, there is wear to the gilding around the rim and around the reserves, there is general small areas of flaking to the blue glaze and there is some later over-painting to the border around the reserves, there is some slight chips to the chi-dragon sprigs.
