A late 19th century Chinese blue silk damask jacket, woven with Phoenix and auspicious symbols. The jacket edged with ornate rows of braiding and silk embroidery, the interior with original pink silk lining. The jacket front possibly converted later in 1920’s. 79cm long.
Condition: the damask, embroidery and lining are in good condition, the narrow silk woven braiding has discoloured and worn in places and may need replacing.
