A 19th century French Grandjon school violin, labelled Joseph Guarnerins fecit Cremonae anno 1719 IHS, the varnish of golden-red tone, with medium curl to the back, sides and neck, inlaid purfling, length of back 35.5 cm (14in.), cased

Condition:
There are splits between the two f holes and further down on the front. There are fine splits to both f holes, wear to the corners of the C bouts, general scuffing and scratching to the varnish all over. Possible restoration to the base of the violin.
