containing sixteen full page paintings on pith paper with ribbon borders, comprising seven of flowers and insects, five of birds and foliage, four of mandarin or trade figures, six half page pith paintings, comprising two of boats and four of torture, together with a single pencil drawing on rice paper of the Hongs of Canton

Album - 38.5 x 28cm. Large paintings - 28 x 19.5cm. Smaller paintings - 16 x 22cm All images with some light spotting and occasional staining, crinkling and indentations to the paper, please note all of the pages have been stuck at the corners into an European album. Full page flowers - 1. Tear bottom left. 2. Several small tears along the edge on the right hand side. 3. Tear bottom right to paper. 4. Two tears to border, a section of the ribbon lacking and several tears. 5. Four tears to the edges and some minor holes to the paper. 6. Tear upper left corner and a few tiny holes to the paper. 7. Several tears to the edges and one long thin hole and other tiny holes to paper. 8. Several holes to the paper and a large tear to the bottom edge. Birds- 1. A series of small tears to the right edge and the top left corner. 2. Large losses to the bottom of the image and one leaf and some other tears to the paper. 3. Many tiny tears throughout. 4. Some staining and indentations otherwise reasonable condition. 5. Tear bottom right corner, and a few other small tears to edges. 6. Large tear to corner upper right and other small tears to paper. Figures- 1. Tiny holes 2. Several small tears. 3. Tears to 2 corners, tear to left-hand side and small hole upper centre. 4. A few tiny tears and tiny holes to the paper. Half page Boats. 1. Several small tears. 2. Larger tears to the bottom corners and to the centre. Torture. 1. Several tears and spotting 2. Large losses to paper 3. Small tears and spotting to paper. 4.
