A Chinese underglaze blue and copper red vase, Xuande mark, 19th century, the brown glazed neck applied with a pair of elephant head handles above a ruyi head raised collar, the body painted to shaped reserves with landscapes and rabbits on a wan keywork ground between blue, floral, celadon and brown bands, seal script mark ‘Da Ming Xuande Nianzhi’, 38.5cm high

Condition:
The vase has been broken into several sections and restored immediately below the collar and above the four lower bands. The whole of the celadon ground band has been repainted and there is some repainting and restoration along the cracks on the body. One of the elephant head handles is missing the end of its trunk. Typical minor glaze imperfections.
