A good George III silver epergne, by Thomas Pitts I, engraved with coat of arms and crested, the central oval dish with pierced oval and scroll decoration and cast foliate and floral swags below, with eight detachable scroll arms, four with basket receivers and four candelabra arms, on four scroll feet, London, 1766, height 47.2cm, 156 oz.

Crest in the centre of the large basket a little tired. Repair to both handles of the large dish. Swag from central column missing. There maybe a piece missing from the foliate decoration around the base near the candelabra arms?? Handle on two of the small baskets repaired. One has the two caps on the handled terminals missing. Some of the engraved crests are a little tired. Hallmarks in general clear, but some with rubbing.
