A pair of unusual Satsuma reticulated double-walled vases, 19th century, of double gourd form, each painted with Samurai battle scenes interspersed by pierced diaper panels, gosu blue tied ribbons and rockwork, unmarked, 39.5cm high, one vase repaired

Condition:
One vase is badly broken and re-glued on the lower half, the other vase happily is in good condition with typical fine crackle to the glaze and occasional wear to the gilding.
