A Japanese Meiji period lacquered table cabinet, Meiji period, decorated with cockerels, peacocks, flowers and butterflies, the sides with prunus, terrapins, pine trees and cranes, with an arrangement of sliding doors, drawers and a single door, standing on a Chinese hardwood stand, overall 60cm wide, 36cm deep, 104cm high

Condition:
Overall looks to be in fair to good condition, some rubbing across the top has removed some of the gilt decoration, metal work a little oxidised, front panels in good order, hinges a little stiff on the small door which doesn't quite shut properly, slight vertical marks showing on the right side, one vertical split running down the back, cabinet without stand 55cm wide, 31cm deep, 50cm high. Underframe looks to be contemporary to the piece, rather matted and dirty with some rubbing at the extremities.
