A pair of English porcelain Sevres style ormolu mounted vases and covers, mid 19th century, each finely painted with portraits of ladies, monograms and floral bouquets within cobalt blue and gilt decorated borders, one cover with interlaced L’s and crescent mark, 44cm high, one replacement cover

Condition:
Both vases and covers are grubby in places, have slight wear to the gilding, tarnish to the ormolu and some occasional fritting to the cobalt blue ground notably round the bottom of the vases above the pedestal foot. The handles to each vase are ormolu and each vase has one loose handle. One cover is a replacement made in painted metal with flaking to the paint, otherwise in reasonable condition.
