with two panelled doors enclosing sliding tray fitted with incomplete wooden chess set, central small book press flanked by short drawers, slide out folding chess board and two base drawers, the drawers with applied enamel playing card decoration,

Condition:
Overall in original mid brown walnut tone, one loop handle detached but retained from the left door and the gilt applique decorations with verdigris, the lower right one damaged, comes with original key and working lock, kings to the chess set are 3 inches high but white Queen missing and black Knight incomplete; further loose, non-matching chess pieces, two bezique markers and twelve draughts only to each team, in a drawer.
