A 19th century gold and crimson silk damask bed cover, the centre being short loom widths of gold damask in a large repeating design, the outer panel a similar crimson damask, both finished with decorative gold braid borders, the bedcover backed with brown thick silk lining, 245cm x 276cm. Condition - the damask has various stains which is expected considering its age and use, there are no holes or fade marks or rips, the colours still strong.
