A Chinese inscribed famille rose ‘quail and chrysanthemum’ bottle vase, Hongxian four character mark but Republic period, finely painted with four quail amid chrysanthemums and rock work, the opposing side with four column inscription and artist seal marks, the shoulder with flowers on a gilt band, blue enamel four character mark to underside, old label to neck, 16.7cm high

Provenance - bought from Guangzhou Antique shop, mid 20th century, with applied Guandong Province Cultural Relics Bureau wax seal.

Condition:
Typical minor glaze imperfections, occasional dirt, old tape marks to base and grubbiness to the vase but basically in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks detected.
