Condition:
Josiah - drawn on paper with a pale blue background, paper shows some slight undulation and damp damage, notably watermarks running across the top margin and in the top right corner, further acid staining and fox marking running down both sides, with small scattered dirt and fox marks throughout the work, signed and dated top left, housed in the original ornate aesthetic design gilt carved oak frame with title plaque to the bottom, old label for Foord & Dickinson Carvers and Guilders verso, an inscribed pencil label with details of Miss ... Caldwell, various auctioneers chalk marks including Sotheby's and a typed label stating that the frame is probably original and was fully cleaned and restored in 1996. Anita - matching Josiah, but in slightly better condition but still suiffering from scattered fox marks throughout and acid stains around the margins, under glass in matching frame, similar labels and inscriptions verso.
