A fine pair of Art Deco natural pearl and diamond earrings, 1930s, each designed as a bird's wing, set with circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds, mounted in platinum with millegrain borders, suspending a drop-shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 10.7-8.7 x 12.4mm and 10.7-8.9 x 12.4mm respectively, total length approximately 3.5cm each, later post fittings

Condition:
A superb pair of earrings. One pearl (approx. 10.7-8.9 x 12.4mm) slightly more oval shape, flatter to the reverse, with slightly silver body colour, high lustre, good quality of reflection, with pink and green overtones, nacre in good condition, a small indentation towards the top to the reverse of the pearl. Minor scratches to nacre and some small fissures around drill hole but overall beautiful and in good condition. Other pearl (approx. 8.7-10.7 x 12.4mm) with paler body colour and attractive pale pink tint, good lustre (still high lustre, but very slightly less than silver pearl), with mostly pink overtones), more obvious drop shape, slightly flat to reverse. Nacre in good condition, some minor scratches. Surmounts in good condition, nicely made, some solder to reverse where later post fittings added. Combined gross weight approximately 8 grams.
