A Chinese pale celadon jade carving of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, 18th/19th century, the figure lying recumbent on a giant banana leaf fan (probably taken from Princess Iron Fan), wearing a chain mail shirt, a circlet headband and cloud-walking boots, holding his staff, the Ruyi Jingu Bang, in his right hand, the stone of excellent even tone, 6.6cm high

Condition:
There is an inclusion or hairline crack to the joint of the staff to his robes just above his right knee, but no other damage detected, generally in good condition.
