An Archaeological Revival gold brooch, second half 19th century, of Etruscan inspiration, designed as an owl perched on a scroll motif issuing two ram's heads, in gold, length 6.8cm

Condition:
Some dark discoloration to gold in some areas, possibly related to solder repair, but no particularly obvious restoration or additions. Owl's wings have possibly been reattached, one tip detached from lower section of brooch. Brooch pin slightly bend, catch possibly later. Overall finely made and in good, wearable condition. Gross weight approximately 14 grams.
