Condition:
Teapot cover wood handle with considerable wear to ebonised finish; cover with two dents close to handle; pitting to finish, particularly around neckrim; some “bleeding” to Old Sheffield band around neckrim; body with a light vertical dent, approx. 4cm, near to neckrim; silver shield plaque with monogram hallmarked 1801, probably original, maker’s mark SM; spout tip is an unhallmarked white metal; acceptable wear to underside. Coasters formerly with oil-painted centres, now largely worn; both with wear to red lacquer and gilding. P&P possible - £25-28.
