A fine George III seed pearl, enamel and diamond mourning ring, circa 1782, of navette-shaped outline, centring on a glazed compartment containing woven hairwork, with an enamelled oval plaque indistinctly inscribed 'AFFECTION' between a ribbon bow and festoon in rose-cut diamonds, within a banded burgundy and white enamel border and outer band of split seed pearls, the reverse with additional glazed panel, encircled by the dedicatory inscription 'CG Rowe Ob 17 Nov 1782 Aet 21', size B1/2
