A verbal report from GCS states that the sapphire is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heat treatment

Condition:
Sapphire measuring approximately 12.8 x 8.3 x 7.0mm, calculated weight approximately 5.00 carats. Sapphire an attractive light, slightly violet blue, with good clarity, small crystal inclusion visible under magnification, well-proportioned cut with good return of light, in very good condition, a couple of very minor chips to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, good commercial colour and clarity grades. One small diamond has tilted in its mount, not obvious and secure at the time of writing. Overall a highly attractive and wearable ring, gross weight 8 grams.
