A George III silver Beverley Racecourse Members ticket, inscribed 'Beverley STAND No 23' to one side, monogrammed and dated 1767 the other, 4.4cm. in 1767 330 silver tickets were sold to wealthy patrons, at three guineas each, to raise the £1,000 needed to build a grandstand at Beverley Race Course, East Yorkshire. In 2013 two of these tickets came up for auction and the racecourse honoured the tickets, granting free admission for three years.
