A Japanese silver and enamel globe-shaped koro and cover, Meiji period, the globular cover decorated in coloured enamels, silver and gold wire amid pierced Imperial sixteen petal chrysanthemum mon, the separate base with cloisonné enamel pale blue ground collar on a spreading octagonal footbase with champlevé enamel floral decoration, apparently unsigned, 11.5cm high, some damage

Condition:
The globe shaped cover has numerous dents with some small areas of splintering and fine cracks to the enamel. The base section is slightly misshapen to the cylindrical top with some denting around the rim and the octagonal base is dented and misshapen with some fine hairlines to the enamel decoration, otherwise in reasonable condition.
