Condition:
Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight but paint affected by damp with white blooming through much of the background as well as some fine but apparently stable craquelure and some light surface scratching, very dark around the edges but apparently unsigned, housed in a period carved giltwood frame which is in fair order, a hint of a Christie's stencil number verso. The white bloom is in the glaze.
