Condition:
Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas with a very slight outward bulge, paint a little dirty with a fine but stable craquelure running though much of the paint, signs of damage showing the flagstones running up to the base of the attendants robes, housed in the original gilt slip with full title of the work and later outer gilt frame, old newspaper cutting applied to the stretcher.
