Condition:
Overall of a dark blackish brown oak tone, when viewed from the back one can see that is has been constructed from several pieces of timber, some of which may well be later additions, top and back of the head is partially worn and eroded although some of this looks to be due to the grain of the original timber, top of the shield and right front leg of the griffon broken away and missing, other minor dents and losses throughout
