Overall of a good rich gingerish reddish tone, darker at the sides, in good honest untouched condition, upper section sits loose upon the chest part and has a raised upper rim which has some losses inside the back corner, various scratches and other dent marks around the top, small chip out of the moulding near the left hand escutcheon on the doors which enclose a single fixed shelf, locks and hinges look original but no key present, chest base has scuffing and scratching where the upper section has moved about upon it, again looks to be fitted with original locks and handles but no key present, scattered small scuffing marks, more so to the sides where there are also some patching inserts and small veneer losses, modelling of the brass loop handles is slightly different on the upper section compared to those that match on the chest base, wear to the turned legs, a split running vertically down both sections on the right of the chest.
