An unusual Elkington & Co. champlevé enamel chinoiserie dish and cover, c.1875, model no. 344, the domed cover decorated with lotus flowers and scrolling tendrils, on a turquoise ground, surmounted by a silver plated finial modelled as a seated Chinese boy, the base with enamelled borders, stamped ‘PUBD. BY ELKINGTON 344’, 18cm diameter

Condition:
The cover is slightly misshapen to one side and has some tiny losses to the enamel and some hairline cracks to the white enamel. The finials appears to have been pushed down slightly to the centre but there is no obvious damage around the immediate area. The feet have some tarnish and grubbiness around them. Some occasional scuffs scratches and tiny dents otherwise in reasonable condition.
