Howell-reasonable copy; XIX, 262pp. (incl. half title); Collins-reasonable but with some browning and spotting; Letters - (by Lady Mary Wortly Montague) with inside stains (heavy in places); Manzoni - front inside hinge cracked, title loose; text preceded by Careano's Life (1872), nr. contemp. ownership (1894), sl.wear to binding; Brockendon - upper board loose vol.2 (inner hinge cracked) and Shelley port. loose; vol. 3 inner hinge cracked of upper board, some wear on bindings, a few marks and spots inside - but reasonably clean; Compendio - nil before vol.I title (half title missing); intermittent inside spotting; (3) - 252 and (3) - 252pp, a blank leaf between the 2 vols.; Herodotus bindings with some spine wear, inner hinges weak, reasonable inside and interleaved throughout - with some ms. notes on the blanks
