the square top with inlaid hardstone chessboard within a green marble border and gadrooned edge, single frieze drawer and foliate carved fluted stem with acanthus capped scroll legs and concealed brass castors,

Condition:
Some of the squares of the chessboard have cracks, there are a few small losses to the inner banding, the green outer banding has a number of cracks and losses, colour of the rosewood is good with a rich mid to dark brown tone, frieze drawer has the original lock but no key, minor rubbing and small losses to the base and feet commensurate with age.
