A rare account of one of the most important witchcraft trials of the seventeenth century, sometimes attributed to Sir Thomas Browne (1605-1682), who is thought to have been complicit in the hanging of two elderly women (Rose Cullender and Amy Drury) by influencing the jury, appearing as an expert witness, that the two were guilty of witchcraft, by citing a similar trial in Denmark.
