A Chinese cinnabar lacquer circular box and cover, 19th century, the cover carved in relief with figures in a garden beneath a pine tree, the borders with reserves of flowers and leaf scrolls on a diaper ground, diameter 15.5cm

The exterior of the box is generally in good condition with occasional fine age crack to the red cinnabar lacquer, the inner sleeves on rims of the cover and base has losses to the lacquer, around the edges and occasional age cracks to the black lacquer on the interior but when the cover is displayed on top of the base there is no obvious damage.
