An 18th century Macedonian tempera on panel icon, depicting Saints Athanasius, John the Baptist and Matthew, dated 1778, the back painted with a cross, 11.75 x 8.75in.

Some loss of gilding and light rubbing to the paintwork commensurate with age, a white line in the robes of the saint on the right where the paint has flaked away, a fine vertical split coming up just left of 6 o'clock, light scuffing around the edges, back with remnant of an old paper label and wear to the paint.
