1. sl. wear spine head and tail, trifle spotted; d/w - little wear (and sl. loss), some minor spotting, text - reasonably good, light spotting final page and stain over 6 part text lines (approx. 5cms and 2cms 1.h. margin.
2. Boards - little tired at edges and spotted on back cover (and a sl. on front); d/w - torn at lower edge of top cover (beneath numeral 2) with loss, sl. edge fraying and minor spotting, spotted on flaps, text - reasonably good, sl. spotting last page.
3. Boards - sl. spotting but reasonably good; d/w - closed tear (top edge to G of Fleming (approx. 2.5cms.), few spots, little fraying at edges; text - quite good, save small stain final blank. d/ws Nos. 1 and 3 are unclipped. Gilbert A17a (1, 4 and 6)
